Business License

Any person opening a business within the city limits of Dayton, Tennessee must apply for a City Business License at City Hall. The cost of a new business license is $15.00.
Once the business License Application has been filled out please mail or drop the application off at:

           ***** Due to the recent changes from the Tennessee Department of Revenue of how we are required to process business license applications there will no longer be same day turn around on receiving a license.  We are sorry for this inconvenience.  You will need to either mail the application in to our office or leave it with the Business Tax Clerk at City Hall.  Once the license is processed it will either be mailed or e-mailed to you.

If the business is domiciled within the city limits of Dayton, business owners must have a City and County Business License. The County License can be obtained at the County Clerk's Office in the back of the Regions Bank Building.
