Where do I go to sign up for new service?
Come to the Dayton Water & Electric office at 400 Main Street. Customers will need their driver's license or picture I.D.
When can I sign up for Budget Billing?
Budget Billing begins in October of each year and ends in September. You must have been at current residence for at least 1 year.
How long does the City keep the deposit?
Deposits are applied as a credit to your account after two (2) years if your account is in good standing. If you move out of our service area before two (2) years of service, you may pick up your deposit refund after paying your final bill.
How can I signup for bank draft?
Sign application form and supply voided check on checking account. Form can be picked up at the Billing office on Main Street or downloaded and dropped off at the Billing office.
Can I turn my utilities on or off over the phone?
No. The customer must come to the Billing office and sign to have utilities turned on or off.
Do I need I.D. to connect utilities?
Yes, customers will need their driver's license or picture I.D.
When will service be connected?
In most cases the same day if signed up by 1:00 P.M.
